The Spider was created in 1993 and it has helped us to improve physical therapy techniques and function in patients with
Cerebral Palsy and other Neuro-Motor disorders. It consists of a number of elastic cords of different tensions attached to
belts around certain points on the patient's body at one end, and to different points on the surrounding construction on
the other end. The equipment enables to create a unique "spider web" prescribed individually for each patient. Spider is
patented by Norman Lozinski and is a trade mark that can not be reproduced or copied.

The Spider allows the therapist to work with the patient standing independently in a correct physiologic position.
Therefore, the therapist can stimulate and strengthen the muscles and other parts of the body that need rehabilitation. It
enables independent and controlled movement as well as strengthening of the affected parts of the body on the patient.
Thanks to the flexible connectors it allows to improve balance and posture as well as to introduce voluntary and precise
movement of the body. The Spider promotes independence with security and motivates even the most reluctant patient
to participate in his/her rehabilitation.

Spider therapy helps for a wide variety of Neurological and Neuromuscular conditions such as:

**Cerebral Palsy
**Multiple Sclerosis
**Spina Bifida
**Agenesis of corpus callosum causing neuro-motor disorder
**Scoliosis
**Hydrocephalia
**Blind children (helps for balance, and gravitational orientation)
**Patients who need rehabilitation after:
Brain surgery
Stroke
Hip surgery
Accidents

The Spider gains a lot of approval and acknowledgment from doctors, professional physical therapists, parents, and most
important, from patients involved in treatment. It is found to be the most effective equipment in rehabilitation of
debilitatating neuro-motor disorders, especially Cerebral Palsy.

The Spider has been carefully tested for seven years. The research was carried out by The National Health Association in
Warsaw in 1996 and by Integrated Early Center in Warsaw. The Spider equipment received approval of both researchers
and patients. It has also been tested in a Public Open Treatment Hospital in Warsaw-Mokotow and also in Warsaw's
Integrating Playground, where it was greatly accepted and fully admired by patients, doctors and therapists administering
the treatment. They have appreciated the fact that activities performed on the Spider™ do not have to be hard and
exhausting work but rather great fun during which a therapist runs a rehabilitation program with full patient acceptance.

Our experience has maximized the use of this revolutionary therapy equipment. The interesting point about Spider is that
it combines many features of modern rehabilitation equipment into one, which allows unlimited therapeutic possibilities.

The Spider allows an ease of use for both therapists and patients, improving the patient's mobility and effectively reducing
the disorders of the Central Nervous System that is beyond traditional therapy. Many specialists have appreciated the
advantages of this equipment.

The Rehabilitation on Spider is based on Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT - Bobath), Propioceptive Neuromuscular
Facilitation (PNF). This therapy focuses on detailed observation of the patient allowing treatment professionals to get to
know his or her deficits. A plan can then be formulated to lead the patient into the next step for their developmental
progress. This unusual "study of mobility behavior", created by Bertha and Karel Bobath, working in combination with the
equipment's abilities and therapeutic professionalism provides a huge return in rehabilitation potential.

Indications to rehabilitate with the Spider:

**Cerebral Palsy
**Neuromuscular diseases
**mobility disfunctions caused by acquired illnesses of PNS (Peripheral Nervous System)
**Traumatopathy
**Degenerative illnesses caused by various bases

CONTRAINDICATIONS :

**Very serious mental impairment making it impossible to make logical contact with the patient
**Very often and serious epileptic attacks
**Very small children with no possibility to fasten the elastic lines to them
